As this powerful prophetic dream began, I saw a digital LED clock in a dimmed room. The time on the display was 23:59. In a moment, it changed to 24:00, and then began to quickly advance from 24:01 to 24:02 to 24:03 … all the way until 24:10 where it stopped. Knowing that even in “military time” a clock only goes to 23:59, I asked the Lord what was happening. I heard the Lord answer me, “In these last moments of time, things are accelerating toward the end of the age. These are the days of twenty for ten — days of multiplication, days of restoration, days of spiritual super vision, and days of divine inheritance.”
With that, the clock changed into an hourglass. At first, the sand poured so quickly through the hourglass that I couldn’t even see the individual grains. I heard a voice declaring, “These are days of divine acceleration.” Next, as I looked more closely at the hourglass, I noticed that the sand falling was not just individual grains of sand. The sand fell in clusters with numerous grains stuck together and falling as one. Then I heard a voice say, “These are days of multiplication.” With that, I suddenly became aware of the fact that there was very little sand in the bottom of the hourglass. As a hand reached down from above and tilted the hourglass at an angle, I realized that the lower section now had in it a normal amount of sand. A voice announced, “These are days of restoration.” Following that, I was instructed to pick up the hourglass and view things through it. When I did, I noticed I was able to see things very clearly that were a long distance away. I then heard a voice declare, “Those who embrace My supervision will have My super vision.” As I sat the hourglass back down, it once again became a digital clock and its display counted down 02 … 01 … 0. When it got to “0,” I heard a timer ringing that sounded like the oven timer my mother used for baking cookies when I was a child. As this dream faded, a voice proclaimed, “The time of waiting is over. It is time for My saints to take hold of their inheritance — to receive both the double portion and their special portion.” With that, I awoke.
Days of Acceleration
When the dream began, the time was 23:59. This time is the last moment before the end of that day. The voice of the Lord in the vision said, “In these last moments of time, things are accelerating toward the end of the age … These are days of divine acceleration.” The day of Christ’s return is not only soon; it is approaching rapidly! Zephaniah 1:14 tells us, “The great day of the Lord is near — near and coming quickly.”
This word “quickly” is a key word for the days in which we live. The things of the spiritual realm are speeding up and we can feel its quickened pace even in the natural. Very soon, all activity in the spirit will start to move at “double time.” The Lord is sending a fresh release of the Holy Spirit to do His “quickening” work. This will result in both an energizing and an accelerating. If things have seemed bogged down in your spiritual walk, if things have been stuck and unchanging, the time has come for finally seeing them start to move forward again. If you are one who thinks things are already moving forward at “breakneck” speed, you had better fasten your seat belt and ask for the mind of Christ, for things in the spirit will begin to unfold faster than you could possibly imagine. As time speeds toward its end, the sands of time will be flying through the hourglass with an escalating swiftness! Knowing this, let us be diligent not to waste even one precious moment.
Days Of Multiplication
What a great day to live upon the earth. The Lord is declaring that these are days of multiplication! The Lord does not merely add to what we have; He multiplies it — He gives us much more! As we give what we have to God, sowing it into His kingdom, it will be returned to us by God in multiplied fashion. Jesus taught this principle in parables and declared it clearly in Luke 6:38, “If you give, you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full measure, pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, and running over. Whatever measure you use in giving — large or small — it will be used to measure what is given back to you.” Most believers know this, but few have ventured out in faith to reap the full benefit of this … until now! In these days, many believers will rise up in faith, take God at His word, and receive supernatural multiplication.
In order to posture ourselves in the place of multiplication, we need to remember what John 12:24 tells us, “… unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains by itself alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.” God will multiply only what we have dedicated and yielded to Him. We must give our finances … our time … our entire lives to Him. These are not days to give God merely tokens from our lives and keep the rest. All that we have, all that we are, must be fully surrendered to Him. In the kingdom of God, we only keep what we give away. What we give to God — really, fully and not in pretense — will not only be given back to us. It will be multiplied back to us. However, it first must be fully released to God, taken out of our hands and placed in His.
Multiplication Of Our Lives
The Lord expects multiplication to be happening not just for us, but also to be coming forth from us! In these days, God is also going to multiply what we can do for Him. God longs to see all the things He has sown into our lives multiplied and flowing forth from them. He knows that the “soil of our heart” is fertile soil, and He expects to reap a harvest from the good things He has planted within us. Every aspect of the kingdom of God the Lord has sown into our lives will be reproduced in them. God has sown forgiveness into our hearts, and will produce in us a harvest of forgiving people. He has reconciled us to Himself, and is multiplying this to produce many reconcilers of others. God has poured His love into us, and He will reap an entire company who pour love back upon Him and upon others. God has sown so much into our lives, let us be truly fruitful for Him by allowing the seed He has planted to multiply so the Lord will reap an abundant harvest.
We are called to do much more than we can do of our own accord, but if our lives are fully yielded to God, He will produce through them an overflowing garden of blessing to this world! God is looking for us to be a people who fully embrace the principle of multiplication in our lives — both reaping what we have sown, and multiplying what He has sown into us.
Days of Restoration
These are not only days of multiplication; they are days of restoration. Our God is the God of restoration. The entire Bible unfolds the story of the restoring heart of God toward man. In Luke 19:10, Jesus tells us that restoration was the very purpose for which He came, “For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” Jesus did not come only to save those who were lost, but that which was lost — to restore all things.
Throughout the Bible, we see the principle that God restores to us more than has been lost. Look at the promise in Zechariah 9:11 to those walking in covenant with God: “As for you also, because of the blood of your covenant, I will set your prisoners free from the waterless pit. Return to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope. Even today I declare that I will restore double to you.” Here God promises twice as much will be restored as what has been lost. The Scriptural record shows us that if harm came to someone or something was stolen, God commanded the return to be greater than what was plundered or robbed. When God restores, He always brings an increase … when God restores, He multiplies! This is part of the “restoring nature” of God. In the process of restoration, God brings those He is restoring back in a way that is better than before! Look at Job. When God restored Job, “… the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before” (Job 42:10). In almost every single case in the Scriptures, the restoration was ordered to be more than that what was lost — it was doubled, or restored four or five times greater (see Exodus 22:1; 22:4). In fact, in Proverbs 6:30–31 it says, “… a thief … must restore sevenfold; he may have to give up all the substance of his house.” When the thief steals, he must give back sevenfold even if it bankrupts him.
In these days of restoration, I believe this is what God ordains for those being restored. Where the devil has come into our lives like a thief to kill, steal, and destroy, God will hold him to this spiritual law of restoration. The things the enemy has stolen from us he will have to give back sevenfold. No matter how badly you have suffered loss, God will restore you to a better place than you were at first, He will increase and multiply to you seven times what was lost!
Restoring Those Who Have Lost
God is not only restoring what was lost; He is restoring those who have lost to the enemy. God is moving to divinely restore the prodigals, the fallen, and those who have been put on the shelf — all who have been cast aside or become cast down and disillusioned. You might be one who has failed or fallen. You may have run from God and wasted the greatest opportunity the Lord has ever placed before you. Now, because of your disobedience, because of your sin, the “locusts” seem to be devouring all that you have. As you sit with your ministry shipwrecked, your relationships broken, or your finances quickly sinking, you are wondering how you can ever make it up to God. But according to the Scriptures, you don’t have to make it up to God; He will make it up to you! Joel 2:25–27 says, “So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you. You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, who has dealt wondrously with you; and My people shall never be put to shame. Then you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel: I am the Lord your God and there is no other. My people shall never be put to shame.”
The New American Standard for Joel 2:25 says, “I will make up to you for the years … eaten.” What an incredible promise! All along, you wondered how to make up those years to God, to make amends and repay Him! However, God’s response is not “How will you pay Me back and make recompense?” He says, “No, My beloved! I will make it all up to you — all the days that have been wasted, everything that has been stripped away and lost. You cannot repay Me for a single wasted hour. Just turn back completely to Me and walk before Me in righteousness, and I will make up all the losses — whether they were yours, your family’s, or Mine!”
You will notice that these days of restoration include the removal of shame. Twice in the verses from Joel quoted above it says, “My people shall never be put to shame.” Not only does the enemy want to steal what you have and who you are … he wants to take your future from you — to steal your hope. But “The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil” (1 John 3:8). Jesus came to ruin every plan of Satan and restore all things, and “Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1).
You were born for God’s eternal purposes. He planned for you a life of satisfaction, joy, and usefulness in His kingdom. Then the devourer moved in and suddenly years were wasted, lost. However now, in Christ, all is new — your shame removed, your hopes renewed, and all that the enemy has stolen the Lord is restoring to you in multiplied fashion!
Days of Super Vision
In the prophetic dream, the Lord spoke saying, “Those who embrace My supervision will have My super vision.” The Lord is about to pour out a baptism of spiritual vision upon the body of Christ and give us His “super vision.” This has never been more needful. Listen to the cry of A. W. Tozer’s heart for this impartation we so urgently need. “What is needed desperately today is prophetic insight. Scholars can interpret the past; it takes prophets to interpret the present … it requires a gift of clear seeing to correctly chart the course in these days.”
As the end of the age continues to unfold, we dare not trust in our natural vision. We must have God’s supernatural sight to guide us through the days ahead. Like Elisha’s servant in 2 Kings 6, God is promising to open our eyes so that we can see the thing of the spirit. “Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.” God will be granting super vision to many in the days ahead so that we, too, can see what is happening in the spiritual realm. Some will gain the eyes of a watchman and become spiritually sensitive to detect the schemes of the enemy. Like a motion sensor, they will sense the movements of the enemy and be able to intercede and warn others.
This promise of super vision is also for those who already have prophetic vision. As I was praying about this dream, the Lord told me that He is about to take some who have 20/20 spiritual vision and give them 20/10 instead. 20/20 is not perfect vision; it is normal vision. Most healthy people can see 20/20 (at least when their vision is corrected). However, some people can see things clearly twice as far away. They have 20/10 vision. The average eye doctor only sees about 10 or 20 people like this in their entire career. These people don’t have good vision, or normal vision; they have super vision! The Lord is going to increase spiritual vision for many of His prophets in the coming days. They will see in the spiritual realm sharper, clearer, and farther than they ever have before. The detail and accuracy with which they see will surprise and startle them. But the precision with which they see and the depth of the insights they gain will allow the Church to advance faster and farther than it could otherwise.
This promise of increased supernatural vision, however, is only for those willing to be under supervision — rightly submitted to proper authority. Though the word “submit” gets one of the most negative and harsh responses when mentioned to most believers, we are encouraged and instructed throughout the Bible to submit. The New Testament tells us to submit to our elders, submit to all authorities, submit to one another, and submit to God. This last exhortation is the key to gaining peace with submission and being able to embrace it. All submission is done out of respect for God — not because the authority is great or worthy. In fact, submission has nothing whatsoever to do with the character of the person in authority. Our submission has everything to do with our relationship with God, what we know of Him, and the purpose He is working out. Submission is an act of faith. It does not matter whether we are submitting to a good or bad person. It makes no difference whether or not we feel what they are doing is just or unjust. It may be very unjust. For example, those who crucified Jesus were as unjust as anyone could possibly be. Yet, Christ submitted to whatever God permitted — out of respect for His Heavenly Father and out of faith that He had Him in His hands. Jesus trusted that Father God was concerned about the outcome of His life and was in control, and because of this, He was able to submit even to unjust earthly authorities. If we want to have the blessings of Christ’s kingdom, we will need to learn to submit like He did … as an act of faith done out of respect for God.
Days of Inheritance—The Double Portion
The voice of the Lord said in the dream that “The time of waiting is over. It is time for My saints to take hold of their inheritance — to receive both the double portion and their special portion.” The first part of this inheritance is for believers to lay hold of the “double portion.”
This speaks of the double portion that Elisha asked of Elijah. This passage of Scripture has been sorely misunderstood and misrepresented. Most of us have heard others speak of wanting the “double anointing.” That sounds like something wonderful … “two scoops” — but nowhere is it mentioned in Scripture. Let us look at what this verse is really saying. “And so it was, when they had crossed over, that Elijah said to Elisha, ‘Ask! What may I do for you, before I am taken away from you?’ Elisha said, ‘Please let a double portion of your spirit be upon me.’ So he said, ‘You have asked a hard thing. Nevertheless, if you see me when I am taken from you, it shall be so for you; but if not, it shall not be so.’ Then it happened, as they continued on and talked, that suddenly a chariot of fire appeared with horses of fire, and separated the two of them; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. And Elisha saw it, and he cried out, ‘My father, my father, the chariot of Israel and its horsemen!’” (2 Kings 2:9–12).
What Elisha was asking for was to be the son of inheritance among the prophets, to be the “firstborn” of all the prophetic company. If you look at the Jewish law, the oldest son, as his birthright, would get a double inheritance, a double portion. What Elisha was saying was “I don’t want to be just one of the sons of the prophet, I want to be the one who inherits the double portion, who takes your place, who receives that birthright of the firstborn son.”
God wants to move us from being the church of the “born-again” to the church of the “firstborn.” Hebrews 12:22–23 says that “You have come to … the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven.” We are called to be Christians, which means “little Christs,” and Jesus was the firstborn of creation … firstborn from among the dead … firstborn of many brothers. We are to be like Him, a firstborn son! God is looking for mature sons and daughters so that He can bring them into greater dimensions of His kingdom.
As Americans, we do not really understand what this birthright fully entails. The birthright was not only a double portion of the father’s inheritance; it also involved authority and leadership of the family. The birthright included a special blessing from the father, and meant he would be the spiritual head, the priest of the family. Because the Church has truly been birthed by God, we have a birthright — to be firstborn sons of God! All of Creation groans, eager to see true firstborn sons of God revealed across the face of the earth. God has thrown open a door in Heaven that no one can close, and He is inviting us to come through into a new dimension of sonship in Him where we will begin to exercise the authority, leadership, and priestly role we were meant to fulfill.
Days Of Inheritance — Our Special Portion
In the prophetic dream, we were not only promised to inherit this double portion, we were promised we would receive our “special portion.” What is this special portion we are told we can lay hold of in these days? It is the portion we can claim as priests who minister to the Lord. Repeatedly, the Bible calls believers a priesthood unto the Lord (2 Peter 2:5,9). So, if we as New Testament believers are likened to the priests of the Old Testament, what was their inheritance? The Levites were not given any marked out territory in the Promised Land. Why? Because the Lord, Himself, was their portion! “The Levites, however, do not get a portion among you, because the priestly service of the Lord is their inheritance” (Joshua 18:7). Our greatest inheritance, our greatest promise, is the Lord Himself. He is our portion … He is our inheritance! “O Lord, You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup … Yes, I have a good inheritance” (Psalm 16:5–6).
In this, we have a been given a promise greater than any other — greater than money, fame, or power. We are being offered as our portion the promised land of the presence of the Living God! The Lord is promising that if we will seek Him, He will be found by us. God wants to abide with us. He is promising to manifest His presence with us, to make Himself known in new depths and greater intimacy. The inheritance God wants is us, and the inheritance He offers us is Himself. The calling of the Spirit to those who will hear it is, “Who will stir themselves up to take hold of the Lord?” God is promising the treasure of an ongoing encounter with the Creator God of all things. Will we choose this day to seize Him? Are you and I willing to press through the business of this world and press in to lay hold of the Lord?
The only thing we need to attain this inheritance is desperateness — desperateness for God. We are coming into desperate times, and desperate times call for desperate measures! For all who choose to put church as usual behind them and throw off everything and anything that gets in their way, they will come into their inheritance. The Lord, Himself, will be their inheritance, their portion, their all in all! “And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:13).
